Reactor Kinetics Lab

A browser-based reactor simulator built around a heavy-water natural-uranium core. I connected OpenMC reference data to Python kinetics and diffusion solvers, Modelica thermal hydraulics, and a React operator interface.

Fusor

An inertial electrostatic confinement experiment I developed across four iterations, from a high-school prototype to deuterium plasma. Vacuum engineering, a custom HV supply, and instrumentation.

Beckhoff Kiln Controller

A production gas-kiln control system I developed from panel wiring through commissioning. Beckhoff PLC logic, Siemens burner safety, field instrumentation, and telemetry all meet at the kiln.

Interests

Making things with my hands has always been a through-line — wax carving, casting bronze, playing piano, or chasing a ball around a court.

Casting & Wax Carving

Lost-wax casting: carving forms in wax, building ceramic shell or investment molds, and pouring molten metal. Jewelry and small sculptures.

Piano

Classical and some contemporary. Playing piano helps me relax and express myself creatively, plus it keeps the mind sharp.

Tennis

Playing since I was a kid. For me personally, one of life's greatest pleasures is to have an afternoon on the court, enjoying the game and the company of friends.
